READINGS (lecturas para examen)
Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson is an English actor. He was born in
London on May 13th, 1986 and he went to school in Barnes, London. He has two
older sisters. Today, he lives in London and Los Angeles.
He started modeling when he was twelve years old, and continued to work as a model until he was sixteen. When he was fifteen and still at school, he joined the Barnes Theatre Company in London, and started acting. He enjoyed it so much he found an agent. He appeared in his first movie, Curse of the Ring, in 2004.
His first important role was as Cedric Diggory in the movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, in 2005. Shortly after this, he took the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, and he quickly became a world famous movie star. There are four movies in the series.
Pattinson is also a talented musician. He started playing the piano and the guitar when he was three years old, and he writes his own music. One of his songs, Never Think, features in the second part of the final Twilight movie.

Rabbits are originally from Western Europe, but today they live wild in most countries. They’re very popular pets. Why? They’re cute and friendly, and they’re very sociable. They soon become part of the family.
Did you know you can teach your rabbit to live with you in your house, like a cat or a dog? But they’re quieter than cats, and more independent than dogs. They like you to play with them and spend time with them. It’s important they spend some time outside or in the yard every day. They’re easier than dogs, because you don’t need to take them for a walk. They’re naturally clean animals, and you can train them to be as clean as a cat.
Rabbits need a diet of special rabbit food and green vegetables. Never feed rabbits fruit or tomatoes. This is very bad for them. And never feed them human food like chocolate or candy!
Rabbits live longer than hamsters and guinea pigs. They can live from between five to fifteen years. They aren’t as exotic as snakes or iguanas, but they’re easier to keep. But the reason they are so popular is that they’re cuter than almost all other pets!

The theory that color affects our mood isn’t new. We know that colors affect our emotions, but do we all feel the same emotion when we see the same color? Do we all feel happy when we wear red? Do we all feel sad when we see black? We’re asking some students what they think.
“I like yellow and I like red. I think red is a positive color. If I wear red clothes, I feel confident and happy. It’s the best color for a party, but it probably isn’t a good color if you’re shy or a bit nervous. I never wear orange. I don’t like it. And I hate brown clothes. I feel sad and fed up if I wear brown. It’s a horrible color.” Suki, 15
“I don’t like bright colors. I prefer dark colors like purple or black. They make me feel safe. I’m shy, and when I wear black I feel confident. Red makes me feel irritable and angry.” Takeshi, 16
